Changing the SCO screen logo.
To change the logo on your SCO screen you have to edit the config file from the GPOS folder.
Firstly close down the SCO software and then go to file explorer.
Go to the following location:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Fidelity Systems\GPoS”
This location has the default “Fidelity.JPG” file and the “GPoS.SCO.exe.config” file inside it.
This is the location where you must drop your image file to be used as the logo, in JPG format.
Then edit the config file above, it is best to select “Open with” and choose “Notepad”; this may require you to click on “more apps” to display notepad.
The result will look like the above image:
Now you need to edit the following entry:
“<setting name="CustomerLogo" serializeAs="String">
<value>Fidelity.jpg</value>”
The change must be the file name in between the “value” criteria and include the type of image file.
The GPOS SCO software will pick up whatever image file you have placed in that folder and query the config for the name of it, to display on screen.
In the example above we have the “Fidelity.jpg” file in the same folder, so we have edited the config to look for that file name; <value>Fidelity.jpg</value>
