Customer Rewards

Adding and Editing Rewards

Add a Reward

  1. In the Rewards & Voucher section, click on Reward Definitions
    1. The Reward Definitions list will be loaded, with the function icons appearing above the list in the top right hand corner of the Reward Definitions page
  2. Click on  / Add New Reward
  3. Configure the Reward as per the notes below
  4. Click on Save when you're done, or click on Cancel to abandon adding the record
    1. Tabs will appear when the record has been saved for the first time, allowing you to configure additional settings
  5. Click back on to the top left tab, then:
    1. Click on Save to save your current changes and continue
    2. Click on Save & New to save your current changes and create a new record
    3. Click on Save & Close to save your current changes and close the record
    4. Click on Cancel to abandon any additional changes

Edit an existing Reward

  1. In the Rewards & Voucher section, click on Reward Definitions
    1. The Reward Definitions list will be loaded, with the function icons appearing above the list in the top right hand corner of the Reward Definitions page
  2. Double-click on the Reward you want to edit
  3. Click back on to the top left tab, then:
    1. Click on Save to save your current changes and continue
    2. Save & Close to save your current changes and close the record
    3. Click on Cancel to abandon any additional changes

Reward Configuration

Edit Reward

  1. Enter a Reward Description
  2. If you want to limit the number of times the Reward can be issued, set a Max Rewards value
  3. Set the Trigger Type:
    1. Selected Products Sold Only - the Reward will be triggered by the selected Product(s) being sold
    2. Products Sold By Quantity - the Reward will be triggered by the a set quantity of the selected Product(s) being sold
    3. Products Sold By Value - the Reward will be triggered by the a set total value of the selected Product(s) being sold
    4. If the Trigger Type is Products Sold By Quantity, set the Trigger Quantity - only whole numbers can be entered; if a decimal is used, the number will be rounded
    5. If the Trigger Type is Products Sold By Value, set the Trigger Value
  4. Set the POS Group(s) that this Reward will apply to
  5. Set a Date Range to apply to this Trigger if required - see the Reward Date Range Definitions section below for more details on configuring these
  6. Set the Identifier Type(s) that will trigger this Reward

Product Triggers

  1. Click on the Product Triggers tab
    1. The Product Triggers list will be loaded, with the function icons appearing above the list in the top right hand corner of the Product Triggers page

Add a Product Trigger

  1. Click on  / Add New Product Triggers
  2. Configure the Product Trigger as per the notes below
  3. When you're done:
    1. Click on Save to save your current changes and continue
    2. Click on Save & New to save your current changes and create a new record
    3. Click on Save & Close to save your current changes and close the record
    4. Click on Cancel to abandon adding the record

Edit an existing Product Trigger

  1. Double-click on the Product Trigger you want to edit
  2. Edit the record as required
  3. Click back on to the top left tab, then:
    1. Click on Save to save your current changes and continue
    2. Save & Close to save your current changes and close the record
    3. Click on Cancel to abandon any additional changes

Product Trigger Configuration

  1. Enter a Description
  2. Click on Add ProductAdd Group or Add Major Group
  3. Type all or part of the name of the Product, Group or Major Group and click on , or leave the field blank and click on  to show all results
    1. If you are searching for Products, tick Code Only Search if you just want to search by Product Code
  4. Click on the Product, Group or Major Group you want to add to the trigger, or use the Shift or Ctrl keys to select multiple lines, then click on Accept
  5. Click on  at the end of a row to remove that row from the Product Trigger

Vouchers

Vouchers can be created both in the Vouchers section of the Customer module, or from the Reward Definition section. See the Customer Vouchers article for details on managing Vouchers.

Reward Date Ranges

Add a Reward Date Range

  1. In the Rewards & Voucher section, click on Reward Date Range Definitions
    1. The Reward Date Range Definitions list will be loaded, with the function icons appearing above the list in the top right hand corner of the Reward Date Range Definitions page
  2. Click on  / Add Date Range
  3. Configure the Reward Date Range as per the notes below
  4. When you're done:
    1. Click on Save to save your current changes and continue
    2. Click on Save & New to save your current changes and create a new record
    3. Click on Save & Close to save your current changes and close the record
    4. Click on Cancel to abandon adding the record

Edit an existing Reward Date Range

  1. In the Rewards & Voucher section, click on Reward Definitions
    1. The Reward Date Range Definitions list will be loaded, with the function icons appearing above the list in the top right hand corner of the Reward Date Range Definitions page
  2. Double-click on the Reward Date Range you want to edit
  3. Edit the record as required
  4. When you're done:
    1. Click on Save to save your current changes and continue
    2. Save & Close to save your current changes and close the record
    3. Click on Cancel to abandon editing the record

Reward Date Range Configuration

  1. Enter a Description
  2. Set the Start Date and End Date as required
  3. Set the Start Time and End Time as required
  4. Set the Recurrence Type:
    1. Daily - the Reward will apply every day during the Start/End Date and Start/End Time
    2. Weekly - the Reward will apply on a weekly basis, allowing further settings to be applied:
      1. Every x Weeks - the Reward will be repeated every x weeks
      2. Apply Monday ... Sunday - the Reward will apply only on the selected day(s)
    3. Monthly - the Reward will apply on a monthly basis, allowing further settings to be applied:
      1. Every x Months - the Reward will be repeated every x months
      2. Use Day of Month - the Reward will apply on the specified numeric day of the month
      3. Occurs On / Day Of Week - the Reward will apply on the First, Second, Third etc Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday etc of the week

Issuing Rewards

Customers Page

  1. In the Customer section, click on Customers
    1. The Customers list will be loaded, with the function icons appearing above the list in the top right hand corner of the Customers page
  2. Click on the Customer you want to issue the Reward to, or use the Shift or Ctrl keys to select multiple Customers
  3. Click on ISSUE / Issue Customer Reward
  4. Select the Reward Description
  5. Select the Identifier which will trigger the Reward
  6. Relevant Max Rewards and Trigger information will be displayed
  7. When you're done:
    1. Click on Save to save your current changes and continue
    2. Click on Save & New to save your current changes and create a new record
    3. Click on Save & Close to save your current changes and close the record
    4. Click on Cancel to abandon adding the record

Add/Edit Customer Record

  1. In the Customer section, click on Customers
    1. The Customers list will be loaded, with the function icons appearing above the list in the top right hand corner of the Customers page
  2. Add or Edit the Customer record
  3. Click on the Rewards tab
    1. The Rewards list will be loaded, with the function icons appearing above the list in the top right hand corner of the Rewards page
  4. Click on ISSUE / Issue Customer Reward
  5. Select the Reward Description
  6. Select the Identifier which will trigger the Reward
  7. Relevant Max Rewards and Trigger information will be displayed
  8. When you're done:
    1. Click on Save to save your current changes and continue
    2. Click on Save & New to save your current changes and create a new record
    3. Click on Save & Close to save your current changes and close the record
    4. Click on Cancel to abandon adding the record
