Before You Get Started
Installation Requirements
- An Administrator account, or a user account with permissions
to install software and services, and make changes to folders
and the Windows registry
- An Instant CRM and (if applicable) Instant Drilldown database
created or restored as part of the server installation
The ability to see and report on items on customers'
transactions in the Instant Drilldown SQL application is not
supported in version 2.6 onwards, and so the Drilldown module
needs to be excluded from the client install using the Custom
installation option. The server installation allows for
Drilldown data to be posted and displayed in Instant CRM, but
reports cannot be run from the Drilldown application itself in
this version.
Crystal Reports
Crystal Reports Runtime is required for reporting, and is installed
as part of the Prerequisites, as noted below.
InstallShield Wizard
Open the Instant CRM InstallShield Wizard executable. The latest
installers for Total Control Premier can be found in the Instant
CRM + Loyalty Service Installers article.
Prerequisites
Depending on the operating system version and other factors such as
Windows Updates and other applications and features being installed,
several prerequisites such as Crystal Reports Runtime and Visual C++
Redistributables may be installed before the main Instant CRM
InstallShield Wizard can run. You may be prompted to restart one or
more times during this process.
