Product Loyalty Points

In both the Desktop and Cloud version of Total Control Premier, a Product can be assigned Loyalty Points which, when used with a Loyalty Scheme that allows for Points specified on Products to be used, overrides the calculation for that particular Product and adds the fixed amount of Loyalty Points to the Current Balance of an Identifier. See the Customer Loyalty Schemes article for details on how to set up a Loyalty Scheme to allow Product Loyalty Points to be calculated.

As this is an override using a fixed value, the Product will be excluded from other calculation methods if a Loyalty Scheme with both Product Points and Sale Total or Basket Value calculations is in use.

Desktop

  1. Open the Product Maintenance applet
  2. Add a new Product, or Edit an existing Product
  3. In the Costing section, set the required number of points in the Loyalty Points Per Product field
  4. When you're done:
    1. Click on Save to save your current changes and close the record
    2. Click on Cancel to abandon adding or editing the record

Cloud

  1. Click on Products on the side menu
  2. In the Products section, click on Product Maintenance
  3. Add a new Product, or edit an existing Product
  4. If a new Product is being added, click on Save
    1. Tabs will appear when the record has been saved for the first time, allowing you to configure additional settings
  5. Click on the Loyalty Points tab
  6. Set the required number of points in the Loyalty Points Per Product field
  7. Click back on to the top left tab, then:
    1. Click on Save to save your current changes and continue
    2. Save & New to save your current changes and create a new record
    3. Save & Close to save your current changes and close the record
    4. Click on Cancel to abandon any additional changes
