Updating Android HHT Devices

This guide is relevant to the Skorpio X5 and Memor K devices.

Step 1: Pre-Update Checklist

1. Complete Transactions: Ensure all stock transactions (e.g., stocktakes, deliveries, orders) are sent to the Fidelity system. The update will clear any unsaved transactions.

2. Lookup File Reset: The update will erase the lookup file. A new lookup file will download automatically when the updated software starts. Perform the update either early in the morning or overnight while the unit is docked and charging.

3. Battery Level: Confirm that the HHT battery is above 40%. You can check the battery level by tapping the battery icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Shutting Down the Software

2.1 Exit the Fidelity App

1. Sign in to the HHT with user 999 and password 999.

2. Press Exit.

3. Re-enter the credentials (999/999) to fully exit the Fidelity app.

2.2 Exit SureLock (if applicable)

Tap the SureLock logo five times. Enter the code 2545. Scroll down and select Exit SureLock. Swipe up on the screen to view all available apps and select Fidelity.

2.3 Close the Datalogic Launcher (if applicable)

Open Launcher Settings. Enter the password 2545 and press enter. Tap the settings cog in the top-right corner and select Exit Launcher. Swipe up on the screen to view all available apps and select Fidelity.

1. Open Launcher Settings.

2. Enter the password 2545 and press enter.

3. Tap the settings cog in the top-right corner and select Exit Launcher.

4. Swipe up on the screen to view all available apps and select Fidelity.

Step 3: Running the Upgrader

1. Sign in to the HHT with user 999 and password 999.

2. Press and hold the "Powered by Excela AutoID Solutions" text at the bottom of the screen.

3. Enter the password 122369 and press enter.

4. Select Download App and confirm by pressing Yes on the prompt.

5. The update will download and prompt you to install the program. Press Yes.

6. Select Upgrade App Now.

7. If a popup appears asking to allow installation from unknown sources:

   1. Press Settings.

   2. Toggle the "Allow from this source" option.

   3. Tap Back in the top-left corner and then press Install.

8. Once installation completes, press Done.

Step 4: Starting the Software

1. From the home screen, swipe up and select either SureLock or Launcher, depending on the option you exited earlier.

2. The software will automatically download the latest lookup file upon loading.

Step 5: Refresh label queue

1. Sign in to the HHT with user 999 and password 999.

2. On the home screen, select the Files button.

3. Tap the text at the bottom of the screen that reads Powered by Exela AutoID Solutions.

4. Tap the Next button 6 times until you reach the label queue page.

5. Tap Refresh Queue. This will update the queue with the latest labels.

6. Tap Save Queue to confirm the update.

7. Tap Save to store the changes.

8. Tap Exit to leave the label queue screen.

9. Tap Back to return to the main menu.

10. Tap Logout-999 to sign out of the HHT.
