Global POS Specifics

Global POS Specifics

From v2.11.xxxx onwards there are some functions that where previously stored on a 'Site By Site' basis that are now 'Global'

Site by Site - also known as Site Specific - means individual records per site
Global is a single set of records used by all sites

The Features within TCP directly affected are:-
  1. Advanced Ticketing
  2. Payments
  3. Balance Status
  4. Condiments
  5. Corrections
  6. Group2
  7. Paid Out
  8. Received on Account
  9. Price Levels
For Multi-Site systems the ‘Database upgrade procedure’ will look to match records that exist at the individual sites (by name) and combine them into a single record, records with different names will create individual records.
Note: Where multiple records are found with identical names the first record will be used.
Note: When dealing with ‘Payment Levels’ the match will be based upon ‘Code’ rather then ‘Name’.
