Using Mixtures to manage recipes and collections of Stock

Mixture Group Guide

  1. Click into the General Databases section and select Mixtures from the menu listing as below.


  1. To create a new mixture, if we click ‘Add’ from the top.


  1. Once you’ve clicked Add this will open up the ‘Adding New Mixture’ where you can give the mixture a name e.g. Narrow Green Bundles and make sure Stockable is set to ‘False’ and give the mixture a tax code and price.



  1. Once the mixture header details have been completed and under the profit  banner, if you click into Product code to select your Products for example, which will bring up the ‘Product search box’ allowing you to select the items, you want to include as the 2 screenshots below;



  1. When you have added the Products to the listing, if you need to add the ‘Mixture Qty’ for e.g. to show Strips, cover and Bind by entering  1 next to each of the items as below;



  1. When your mixture is ready if you click on ‘Save’ within the top right of the box.


  1. Now, if you close down ‘Mixtures tab’ and head into Products under General Databases to create a new PLU for your Colours bundle Binds.


  1. If you now click ‘Add New’ under the Product Maintenance page which will bring up the ‘Adding new Product’ page. 



If you give the PLU a name, for example, Narrow Green Bind Bundle  followed by changing the setting ‘Is Product a Mixture’ to ‘true’ 


The next step is to select the ‘Mixture code’ which is the group we have created under ‘Mixtures’, in my example is called ‘Bind Bundles’, 


Once ready, if you click ‘Save’.


  1. You will need to add your PLU bundle button to your touch screen.
  2. Once ready, if you send the comms down to the till to test.
More Examples from a Bar point of view;

Setting up your Main PLU followed by adding in your mixture to build up as follows;
  1. Name: Skittle Bomb
  2. Stockable set to false.
  3. Mixture PLU (Example) This is linked to 636.
  4. Setting your mixture QTY
