Verifone P400 Troubleshooting

Check the Network Connection

Check the Network Status

1. Press or touch the blue Verifone banner on the screen

2. Press 2 or touch Supervisor (this screenshot is from a non-integrated terminal, and shows Supervisor as option 3 due to the additional Log In User option appearing at the top)

3. Enter the Supervisor code, and press or touch

4. Press 2 or touch Communication

5. Check that the LAN or WiFi status is “Up”

Check the IP Address on the Terminal

After checking the Network Status as above...
1. Touch Status

2. Touch IP Addresses

3. Touch LAN

4. Check the IP Address

Check the IP Address configured in GPoS

  1. Minimise or shut down GPoS, then open the GPoS Utility, or touch the GPoS Programming Utility button if one has been programmed on your Touch Screen Layout (see the Touch Screen Layout article for guidance on managing your screen layout)
  2. Open Programming > System Tables > Peripherals
  3. Select the appropriate Peripheral configured as per the Integration Info Text found in the Verifone P400 GPoS Setup article, and check the IP Address assigned to this Peripheral - make sure that it matches the IP Address that the P400 has been allocated

Restart the Network Interface

  1. Press the button or touch the blue Verifone banner on the screen
  2. Press 2 or touch Supervisor
  3. Enter the Supervisor code, and press or touch
  4. Press 2 or touch Communication
  5. Touch Configuration
  6. Touch Start / Restart Network Interface
  7. Touch LAN or WiFi button to restart the required interface

Restart the Terminal

  1. Press and hold the  and  keys for 5-6 seconds
  2. Touch Reboot
