SCO Mode Welcome Screen Messages

This article applies to GPoS version 1.62 and higher - screenshots are taken from GPoS version 1.66.

GPoS SCO Mode's welcome screen has two blocks of default text - "Scan your first item or touch here to begin" on a button in the middle of the screen, and "This terminal accepts Contactless and Chip + PIN payments" and these can be altered to display custom messages.

These are Messages and Texts that are edited in the GPoS Utility as per other warnings and messages that are displayed throughout the course of normal GPoS operation.

GPoS Utility

1. Click Programming > System Tables > Messages and Texts

2. Edit the text(s) as required:
  • 9901 "Scan your first item or touch here to begin"
  • 9959 "This terminal accepts Contactless and Chip + PIN payments"
The built-in default may be different to the default programmed by the installation or support technician

3. Close Messages and Texts and click Yes to save the changes
