Stock

The stock level of a product is recorded and tracked in Total Control Premier over a stock period, through several key events. A stock period is a period of time used to track stock levels, starting with the Opening Stock level and finishing with the Closing Stock level, and is normally ended by carrying out a stocktake.

For Example, A Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) is essentially the pack size for a product. A Stock Keeping Unit could be a single unit or a crate of 24 bottles, 11-gallon keg. When adding a new Product, you need to assign a Stock Keeping Unit so that Total Control Premier is able to keep track of correct stock and pack levels. The Stock Keeping Unit is also used on the stock transactions (e.g. deliveries)  to make data entry easier – You just enter  1 x 11-gallon keg, rather than  88 pints.

If you click into Stock Keeping units and groups you will see two areas, the first area is groups (Screenshot 10.2). You will be able to create your groups and remove etc. If you click the tick option against the group name, this will list the SKU’s under this section (Screenshot 10.3).

Shelf  Locations can be used to sort and/or group  Products’  can,  as their name suggests,  be used to denote which shelves Products are located, or they can simply be used as another grouping method.

The Suppliers section of Total Control Premier allows you to record information about all of your suppliers. These suppliers can then be used on orders, deliveries and returns. You can also produce reports on your supplier such as the Supplier Summary Report, which lists the transactions made against a supplier.
